In some respects, Sabonis is more of a throwback big. He doesn’t shoot, and he’s not a strong rim protector, either. Sabonis thrives with his back to the basket, using an array of post moves to beat defenders, and great passing vision to find open men when opponents double-team him. 

He’s also a comfortably more skilled basketball player than Turner. Yet, the Pacers ultimately chose Turner’s more modernized skillset, trading Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings.
