Fair enough. On the other hand, the Kings haven’t made the postseason in 16 years. That’s an NBA record. In all likelihood, this fanbase has seen enough tanking.
Furthermore, the Kings traded the much younger Tyrese Haliburton in exchange for Domantas Sabonis at last year’s deadline.
For better or for worse, they’re committed to a direction. In 2022-23, the Kings need to at least aim to win games.

As constructed, they should be able to. Sabonis is a star, as is De’Aaron Fox. Meanwhile, supporting players like Harrison Barnes, Murray, Huerter, and others will complement the two.
Unless, of course, they trade some of those guys. If they did, would LaVine be a good target for the Kings?
