Chicago Bulls Receive: F OG Anunoby, G/F Gary Trent Jr., 2023 First-Round Pick (TOR), 2025 First-Round Pick (Swap – TOR)
Toronto Raptors Receive: G Zach LaVine
Bulls fans may be disappointed by this proposed return. Specifically, they may have been expecting a larger haul of draft capital.
Fair enough. After all, teams certainly received more draft capital than this throughout the offseason. For example, the San Antonio Spurs received three unprotected first-round picks for Dejounte Murray. More shockingly, the Utah Jazz got four first-rounders for Rudy Gobert. What gives?
Well, that’s only one framework for a deal. It may be the one we’ve come to expect, but it’s not the only one.
This deal, unlike those deals, has the Bulls receiving two quality young players in addition to draft capital.
