Surely, they knew Robinson wasn’t a lockdown defender, but in the 2021-22 playoffs, the extent of his limitations was on full display. Suddenly, that contract looks like an albatross.
Meanwhile, Morris Sr. has simply aged out of his peak effectiveness. He’s still a useful rotation player, but his annual $16.3 million salary is looking a little generous by now.
