The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics have one of the most legendary rivals in the history of professional sports.

Look at the entire history of the NBA – usually, one of these teams has been near or at the top of the standings. Often enough, they both have been, battling for league-wide supremacy. 

With that in mind, one would think that a native of one city would be opposed to playing in the other. The roots of rivalries run deep. Fans in Boston hate the Lakers and vice versa. Just don’t tell that to Paul Pierce.
