Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal
Full disclosure: the Bulls are not going to make OG Anunoby their primary ball-handler.
Not with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan on the roster. This team’s offensive pecking order is well-established. With that said, it does have more room for Anunoby’s than Toronto’s does.
Moreover, the Bulls, like any competitive group, could use Anunoby’s 3-and-D skillset as well. Realistically, they’d be plugging him into Patrick Williams’ role, only with additional playmaking.
Conceptually, that should satisfy Anunoby. If he sees himself as some sort of heliocentric offensive hub in the making, we’re concerned. We’re also doubtful that it’s the case.

If the rumors about his dissatisfaction are even true, he’s likely only looking for a slight increase in usage. The Bulls can give him one, and they’d benefit from having him on their roster.
Do the Raptors benefit from losing him here?
