Perhaps incoming rookie Mark Williams is the long-term answer. Still, leaning on a rookie that heavily is typically a mistake. In all likelihood, Williams will need time to learn the ropes at the professional level. 

Who better to teach him than Capela? He’s a seasoned vet who’s played in high-stakes playoff environments. He should make the Hornets better in 2022-23 while providing Williams with valuable mentorship on the side.
