Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal
By contrast, this Clippers team is full of veterans. They wouldn’t be able to orchestrate a soft reset the way the Suns have – they’re all-in on 2022-23.
Luckily for them, they have one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. In particular, the Clippers are stacked with quality wings. With that said, if they’re lacking in any area, it’s point guards.
Sure, Reggie Jackson is solid. Moreover, John Wall could have a redemptive season in his own right. Still, neither screams “championship point guard”. By contrast, Chris Paul has been screaming exactly that – in spite of not having won one.
Even at 37, Paul would likely be the best point guard on this team. He’d certainly be the best floor spacer, and with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George running the offense, that’s key.

All told, Paul would mightily improve this team’s already-strong title odds next season.
