At one point, Victor Oladipo was a bit of a gamble himself. 

Granted, his career didn’t get off to as rocky of a start as Reddish’s. The first four years of Oladipo’s career were fine. Still, nothing could have prepared the NBA community for his 2017-18 breakout. 

That year, Oladipo was a bonafide superstar. In fact, he was named All-NBA, and the league’s Most Improved Player.

At that time, it appeared as if Oladipo would be among the league’s best players for years to come. Unfortunately, injuries have limited his impact ever since.

By now, it appears unlikely that Oladipo will ever return to those heights. It remains possible, but given that he is 30 years old with a brutal injury history, we wouldn’t gamble on it.
