Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

There’s a difference between the Bulls and the Suns. The Suns’ best players, beyond Paul, are mostly young. By contrast, the Bulls have plenty of talented young players, but they don’t currently occupy their most prominent roles. 

In other words, blowing up the team would be an easier route for the Bulls to take. With that in mind, you may be wondering: why on earth do we have them landing a 37-year-old Chris Paul? 

Well, consider it a last-ditch effort. The idea here is for the Bulls to push all-in on 2022-23 with a contingency plan. They’ll be playing for the title next season, but if they fall short enough, they’ll become one of the biggest sellers in the league next summer. 

We think it’s a good plan. If the Bulls are disappointing next season, they can command a treasure trove of rebuilding assets for Zach LaVine.
