Apparently, Jae Crowder has heard the rumors about his potential departure from the Suns. Recently, he took to social media to express his approval of the notion. 

The Philadelphia 76ers would be lucky to add him. After all, Crowder is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. Granted, their wing rotation gets crowded here.

Tobias Harris is the presumptive starter at the 4, and they have P.J. Tucker and Danuel House Jr. to accommodate as well. That’s fine – all of these players are portable 3-and-D wings that can be mixed and matched accordingly. 

Meanwhile, if any team in the NBA has too many 3-and-D wings, it could be the Suns. Between Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Torey Craig, they’ll struggle to allocate minutes. Meanwhile, they could use an upgrade to a shallow guard rotation – Clarkson provides one.

Finally, the Utah Jazz play the role of facilitator here. Still, this deal makes sense for them. Thybulle has emerged as one of the best defensive wings in the NBA – even if his shot never comes around, he has value.

Taking a flier on Springer also makes sense for them, and even the 25-year-old Korkmaz is on their timeline. 

In short, this deal makes sense for all parties involved – even if it has the Utah Jazz eating Shamet’s long-term, bloated contract.
