Here’s a problem we’ve all run into it: quality, or quantity? 

Generally speaking, most will opt for quality. That’s fair. It’s more immediately appealing to have the best version of whatever it is you’re collecting. 

On the other hand, don’t sell quantity short. It’s sometimes ideal to have backups of whatever you have. Putting all of your eggs in one basket can be risky, no matter how high quality a basket you’ve got. 

This is the dilemma the Lakers are grappling with here. They’re giving up four players to acquire one.

On the other hand, none of these four players were likely to play a significant role in their rotation in 2022-23 anyway.
