Having said all of the about plans – sometimes, the best plan is to stay flexible. 

It’s one thing to chart a course. Anyone has to have an idea of where they’re heading. With that said, what should be done if, on that course, a better route presents itself? 

The Knicks are well-structured to take whichever route they choose. This organization has plenty of moveable contracts, some interesting young players, and an immense collection of draft capital. 

By contrast, the Bulls are relatively inflexible at the moment. Unless they’re willing to make a big move, they don’t have the assets to improve on their current core.
