1. Cam Reddish, New York Knicks
The New York Knicks focused a lot of their efforts this offseason on trying to obtain Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. While they didn’t land him, there is more work to do this offseason as the team could use one or two trades.
This roster can use a little more consolidation as there are too many players with not enough minutes and rotation spots to go around. One of the players that could be on the move is Cam Reddish.
It was reported that Reddish made a trade request to the New York Knicks in hopes of landing with a team where he could play a bigger role. That was the same reason that he requested a trade from the Atlanta Hawks last year, but landing in New York hasn’t resulted in more playing time.
While Cam Reddish has said that no trade request has been made, he is someone that contending teams could inquire about. Normally contending teams exhaust all of their assets to upgrade the team and compete for a championship. Reddish would provide said team with a potential long-term building block.

Possessing prototypical two-way wing size, Reddish has the potential to be an excellent 3-and-D player. He is athletically gifted and thought to have a very high ceiling as a result. Teams can never have enough two-way wings, and Cam Reddish could thrive in a winning environment with a consistent role.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to him and would be an excellent landing spot. He can learn from one of the best in the NBA in LeBron James, and there is a clear need for help on the wings.

With some reps, he can play a similar role that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope did during their run to the championship in the Orlando Bubble in 2020 but with much more potential.
