Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard, who recently aggravated a previous Achilles tendon injury, played through pain in Game 3 of their first-round NBA playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, contributing 28 points and eight assists over 45 minutes.
The injury occurred as he defended an inbounds pass towards the end of regulation, exacerbating a condition he first encountered during the regular season finale on April 14.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there is “serious doubt” about Lillard’s ability to play in Game 4 of the Bucks’ first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
“Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard has suffered a strained Achilles, is in a walking boot and there is serious doubt over his availability for Game 4 vs. Pacers on Sunday,” Charania wrote.

Bucks head coach Doc Rivers clarified post-game that it was indeed Lillard’s Achilles tendon causing discomfort, a concern that had already affected his practice attendance last week.
Despite his determination, Lillard’s status remains uncertain for the upcoming game, posing a significant challenge for Milwaukee, especially with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined with a calf strain.
This season, Lillard, an eight-time All-Star, has been a key figure for the Bucks, who traded for him in September following an 11-year stint with the Portland Trail Blazers. His arrival was part of a broader shakeup that included a coaching change, with Adrian Griffin initially replacing Mike Budenholzer, followed by Rivers taking over midseason.
