Why The LA Clippers Do The Deal

The LA Clippers do the deal for Anthony Davis. Their reasoning here is blindingly obvious. 

Of course, it doesn’t come without its risks. Davis has spent the better part of two seasons on the shelf. Even when he has been healthy, he’s appeared compromised by lingering injuries. 

Still, he’s the best player involved in this deal. In fact, when healthy, he’s one of the best players in the world. At 29, he still has a chance to return to that level of play. 

If he did so in a Clippers uniform, they’d suddenly have the best Big 3 in the league.

Forget being title contenders: with a prime-level Anthony Davis on this roster, the Clippers would likely be seen as overwhelming NBA championship favorites. 

For once, they might actually win the Battle of LA.
