Finally, what if the New York Knicks could actually gain draft capital from a Randle trade?

To do so, they’d have to find a desperate team. Randle is capable of great performances, but his 2021-22 season has left his trade value in the gutter. With that said, the Dallas Mavericks may be desperate enough to try to revive it.

After all, this team just lost Jalen Brunson to, ironically, the Knicks in free agency. Now, they’re in dire need of secondary ball-handling behind Luka Doncic. Randle could provide it, and getting it from a forward would diversify this Dallas Mavericks’ attack.

As for the Knicks, this deal also works whether or not they’re landing Mitchell. If they are, adding another first-round pick gives them additional ammunition to get a deal done. If they’re not, who knows?
