This trade may not match your preconceived notion of what a Myles Turner deal would look like.

In today’s pick-crazed NBA, most would expect the Indiana Pacers to flip him for as many first-round picks as possible. Of course, there’d be logic in that too – few building blocks are as precious to a rebuilding team as first-round selections.

At the same time, the draft is used to select players. Players are players too. When they have proven track records and they’re young, they can be more valuable than picks.

With that said, both Williams and White have concerns about going with those track records. Williams has had significant trouble staying healthy.

White has had some as well, but the more prevalent concerns surrounding him pertain to his production when he can play.
