Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls made major strides as a roster last offseason, but Team Exec Arturas Karsinovas has kept his squad under the radar this summer despite the team showing that they still have plenty of holes before they can be considered true title contenders. The most pressing issue in Chicago’s makeup is their severe lack of interior defense.
What the Bulls do have is a plethora of perimeter scoring talent. If Chicago means to capitalize on the remainder of DeMar DeRozan’s prime and possibly deploy a contender around him, they’re best bet would be to identify a defensive upgrade over Nikola Vucevic to be their new anchor.
With Vucci Mane’s age and one-dimensional game, though, he could be hard to move. That being said, Chicago’s best option moving forward may be to find an interior player who can play next to Vucevic and impact the defense as a help defender and weakside shot blocker; someone like Evan Mobley, Robert Williams III, or Bam Adebayo.
Bam and Vuc would form a perfectly balanced “twin towers” pairing in Chicago, with Vucevic spacing the floor for Adebayo to dominate the paint on offense, and Bam covering for all of Nikola’s defensive deficiencies.

It would likely cost the Bulls Zach LaVine, another young player, and draft capital to get the deal done — and even then, it still depends on if the Nets are willing to retool around that package and Ben Simmons — but it would be a worthwhile endeavor for Chicago to pursue if they mean to compete with DeMar DeRozan in tow.
