We’ll leave the speculation aside. It’s fair to say that the Cavaliers are building something without The King now. In 2021-22, they advanced to the NBA’s play-in tournament.
Andrew Wiggins could be the piece that gets them over the hump from upstart to a bonafide contender. Last season, this team was missing a 3-and-D wing. If they could land one with strong secondary shot creation skills like Wiggins, that would be a huge boon.
