It is hard to imagine the Brooklyn Nets getting a better return than this one for Kevin Durant.
Of course, the market for Durant will be robust. In theory. In practice, his market value may be too high for most teams to match.
After all, trading your two best players, for example, in exchange for him won’t make sense for any team. Durant, as great as he is, will need talent alongside him to contend for the title. Which, of course, is the whole point of acquiring him.
