Miami Heat
The Miami Heat continue to scour the league for trades to upgrade their roster. They are going big game hunting, as they have been connected to both Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell. Should they pull off a deal for either player, they are going to need some useful veterans to fill out the rotation.
There is already a need at the power forward spot, as P.J. Tucker is no longer with the team. He declined his player option and then signed a three-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. While Anthony’s skill set isn’t the same as Tucker’s, he would help provide the team with useful minutes at the position.
Anthony’s ability to still score with ease is something the Miami Heat could use more of. At times during the postseason, their offense became very stagnant.
If Jimmy Butler wasn’t generating offense, points were tough to come by. Even at 38 years old, Anthony is someone you can throw the ball to in halfcourt situations and watch him go to work scoring the ball.

If Anthony is looking to contend for a championship, the Miami Heat present an intriguing landing spot without even making a big trade. They did finish first place in the Eastern Conference last season and came one game short of making the NBA Finals.
