Houston Rockets Receive: F OG Anunoby, F/C Precious Achiuwa
Brooklyn Nets Receive: G/F Eric Gordon, G/F Gary Trent Jr., 2023 First-Round Pick (TOR), 2024 First-Round Pick (Swap – TOR), 2024 First-Round Pick (BKN via HOU), 2025 First-Round Pick (TOR), 2026 First-Round Pick (Swap – TOR), 2026 First-Round Pick (BKN via HOU), 2027 First-Round Pick (TOR), 2028 First-Round Pick (Swap – TOR)
Toronto Raptors Receive: F Kevin Durant
In this deal, the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors bring the Houston Rockets into the fold to get the Nets some extra draft capital. It just so happens that this draft capital has extra value to the Nets:
After all, it was theirs to begin with.
The Nets traded the rights to their first-round picks, whether outright or via swap, to the Rockets in exchange for James Harden last season. In receiving them back, they gain a little more control over their own destiny. Bottoming out could be more appealing knowing that the Rockets merely have swap rights next summer if they had their own picks back in 2024 and 2026.
Meanwhile, this deal requires the Rockets to be interested enough in Anunoby and Achiuwa to part with those picks. Realistically, they may or may not be. They did just draft two defensive-minded wings in Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason.

At the same time, Anunoby is a proven NBA player who’s young enough to fit their rebuild, and they could use a backup big man behind soon-to-be sophomore Alperen Sengun.
With that said, the Rockets may prefer to hang onto their draft capital. If so, the Raptors and Nets will need to seek out another third party to get a deal done.
