Sometimes, NBA teams are forced to rebuild. Sometimes, they’re lucky enough to be able to retool.
That’s the goal for the Portland Trail Blazers right now. Their 2021-22 season was tremendously disappointing. So much so, in fact, that many would have them trading franchise player Damian Lillard.
The Blazers seem to have other designs. They already traded for Jerami Grant this summer. In all likelihood, they’ll be making more moves.
So, for that matter, will the Utah Jazz. With that said, they might be bracing for a more traditional rebuilding process.
