2. Philadelphia 76ers
The 2022 offseason has been a good one for the Philadelphia 76ers. They have made some solid upgrades to the roster without surrendering too many assets in the process.
They turned their first-round draft pick and Danny Green into De’Anthony Melton, who will upgrade the backcourt, providing Philadelphia with a strong backup point guard.
In free agency, they were able to land P.J. Tucker, who brings some toughness and hard-nosed defense to the roster. He has experience playing alongside stars and his relationship with James Harden and Daryl Morey definitely help, along with the three-year deal he landed.
Speaking of Harden, he also signed for well below the max, taking a significant pay cut to help the team build up the rest of the roster. What will the 76ers do with that added cap space? They could go looking for a third All-Star to add to the roster.

Coming into the offseason, that was a big rumor. Morey had plans of swinging another big trade and Bradley Beal was their main target. Beal ended up re-signing with the Washington Wizards, so why not divert their attention to another high-scoring shooting guard in Donovan Mitchell?
If the Philadelphia 76ers are dead set on adding another All-Star to the mix, Mitchell makes for a good target. It would be a handful trying to slow down an offensive trio of Joel Embiid, Harden and Mitchell as they can get it done from anywhere on the court.

There is a chance that Morey is content with how things have gone this offseason and no longer wants to make a splash move. But, you can never count them out after it was rumored they were in the market for one heading into the summer.
