Trade Talen Horton-Tucker
The Los Angeles Lakers are light on returning young players with any trade value. If they have one, it’s Talen Horton-Tucker.
Granted, his value has probably depreciated over time. Shooting 26.9% from distance in 2021-22 will do that. On the other hand, Horton-Tucker is a 21-year-old with a unique wingspan and solid ball-handling abilities.
His value can’t be 0. Surely, some rebuilding team will have some interest in his services. Lakers fans should be realistic. Horton-Tucker is not netting them Myles Turner as they once dreamed. Still, Buddy Hield could be a realistic target (with additional salary matching).
Surely, the Magic would prefer to roster Horton-Tucker over the aging Terrance Ross. Making the money work for Eric Gordon is tougher, but with some creativity, the Rockets would surely be willing to part with their veteran guard/wing.
