Quietly, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a quality 2022 NBA offseason so far.
This team signed intriguing young guard Lonnie Walker IV to a one-year deal. They scooped up defensive forward Juan Tuscano-Anderson. Perhaps most significantly, they signed potential starting center Thomas Bryant.
Those were all smart moves. The Lakers are filling positions of need. They’re also getting younger, which is wise for a team with one of the league’s oldest cores.
This organization deserves a good grade for the work they’ve done so far this summer.
