Why The LA Clippers Do The Deal
Whether this deal is worth the LA Clippers’ time in anyone’s eyes depends on their appetite for risk. If the Clippers are hungry enough for success, they’ll entertain it.
After all, the Clippers would arguably have the most talented team in the NBA following this deal.
In fact, they’re already close to being able to make that claim. A healthy Kawhi Leonard and Paul George should rival any duo in the NBA. Supporting players like Robert Covington, Reggie Jackson, Ivica Zubac and others should bolster their title odds in 2022-23.
With that said, if this roster wants anything, it’s a stronger offensive guard. Jackson is a quality player, but he may be best suited for sixth-man duties. Irving would be an undeniable upgrade for this rotation.
