Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are probably going to focus a lot of their attention this offseason on the frontcourt. They need some help at the center position and it sounds like there is a real chance that P.J. Tucker doesn’t return to the mix.
Finding serviceable depth at those spots will not be easy, but Pat Riley has worked his magic before and will do so again. Another need for the Miami Heat this offseason should be finding some more offensive spark and Kemba Walker can provide that for stretches.
Too often during the postseason, Miami’s offense would stagnant and struggle to score. There was immense pressure on Jimmy Butler to carry the load as both the lead playmaker and go-to scorer with Kyle Lowry ailing. While you cannot count on Walker to play 30+ minutes every night, he can still fill it up when given the opportunity to do so.
Speaking of Lowry, adding another established player behind him wouldn’t be the worst idea for the Miami Heat. The only other point guard on the roster was Gabe Vincent. Beyond that, they would use Butler, Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo to initiate the offense.

With no cap space, the Miami Heat can’t be picky in free agency. Walker will be an affordable option that should be able to outproduce a veteran’s minimum contract.
