Toronto Raptors
There may not be a team this offseason that needs a center as badly as the Toronto Raptors do. They found a lot of success during the 2021-22 season behind an excellent game plan set up by Nick Nurse despite having very little size. However, they eventually caught up to them as the Philadelphia 76ers dominated the interior in their first-round playoff matchup.
Looking to ensure that doesn’t happen again, Toronto is in the market for a center this offseason. There have been some trade discussions held involving OG Anunoby that would land them a big man, but they could look to free agency to address their need as well.
Mo Bamba is a great fit for the Toronto Raptors which wouldn’t require them to change their game plan too much. Last season a lot of the success that they found, at least offensively, was that they had players willing to shoot 3-pointers to keep defenses honest.
Not only can Bamba shoot 3-pointers, but he also makes them at a healthy clip. He shot a better percentage last season than every frontcourt player on the Toronto Raptors’ roster, so he would be an upgrade in that regard.

Standing 7 feet tall and weighing 231 pounds, he also has more size than any of those players, giving the team exactly what they are missing. He is an excellent rim protector and would be able to clean things up in the paint that gets around their strong perimeter defense.
