Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have done a great job upgrading the talent on the roster in the last year or so. Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso were great additions around Zach LaVine, but the team needs to keep adding talent to take that next step.
Finding a center that can make more of an impact defensively should be on their to-do list. It could be a hard sell to get Mo Bamba to play behind Vucevic on the depth chart again, but Chicago is one of the teams reportedly interested in him and the fit would make sense.
The Chicago Bulls are desperate for a rim protector as DeRozan and LaVine aren’t the strongest defenders. Having a weak rim protector behind them in Vucevic leads to some issues that Bamba would help erase.
There have been some rumors that Chicago could trade Vucevic this offseason, which would make their pursuit of Bamba more understandable. He can offer the same floor spacing that Vucevic does offensively but with major improvements on the defensive end of the floor.

Bamba doesn’t need the ball in his hands nearly as much as Vucevic does offensively, making him a better fit with ball-dominant stars such as LaVine and DeRozan running the offense.
