Knicks Trade Julius Randle
Arguably, this isn’t a bold prediction at all. Many observers expect the Knicks to move on from Randle this summer.
Let’s expand the definition of “bold”. Trading Randle just two seasons after he was named to the All-NBA Third Team is surely a bold move. Therefore, predicting he’ll be traded should qualify as such!
That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a wise decision. Randle seemed to be at odds with the Knicks’ management and coaching staff in 2021-22. His play fell considerably far from the prior season’s mark. Life moves quickly in the NBA, and you’ve got to know when to move with it.
It’s hard to say what kind of return the Knicks could get. Still, some team ought to gamble on Randle returning to his 2020-21 form. If he does, the Knicks cold regret making this decision this summer.

We’d still bank on them to make it. Getting off Randle’s contract will make them more flexible. His absence would also open up opportunities for an array of promising youngsters on this roster. There are, simply put, more reasons to move him than there are to keep him.
