Andrew Wiggins
The Golden State Warriors are going to have to answer some difficult questions this offseason. One of the biggest ones looming over the franchise is what to do with Andrew Wiggins.
The first-time All-Star had a wonderful regular season and has continued playing at a high level in the postseason. Wiggins has been the Warriors’ most consistent player against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals and is showing that he very well could be worth another max contract. That is something the Warriors, with a soaring tax bill, will have to think long and hard about whether or not they can pay.
If they decide that isn’t something they can afford, the Cavaliers need to get on the phone and make some calls about Wiggins. Wiggins would bring everything to the table that Cleveland is currently missing on the roster.
Some secondary playmaking, scoring from all three levels and shutdown defense. Those are key attributes for a wing player to have in today’s NBA and the Cavaliers don’t currently have a player that can provide that. They are hoping Isaac Okoro will eventually be that, but right now, he offers very little offensively.

Only 27 years old, Wiggins would fit the timeline that Cleveland has. He would be one of the elder statesmen but has yet to even reach his athletic prime. The Cavaliers can build a few different trade packages and should be open to anything that doesn’t include parting ways with Darius Garland or Evan Mobley if it meant landing Wiggins.
