Miles Bridges
The Cleveland Cavaliers could be in the market for another bonafide scorer to pair with Darius Garland, especially if Collin Sexton isn’t retained. They sometimes struggled to get things going on offense outside of Garland, who was the sole creator once Sexton and Ricky Rubio went down with injuries.
While restricted free agency can be dicey, one player that the Cavaliers should check in on is Miles Bridges. He is technically a free agent, but the only way for Cleveland to acquire him would be via sign-and-trade, so he lands on the list.
Bridges is entering free agency at a perfect time, as he is coming off of a career season. He averaged 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks in 35.5 minutes per game. All of those numbers are new career-highs or tied a career-high.
In Cleveland, he can slide into the spot currently occupied by Lauri Markkanen in the starting five, providing the team with more scoring punch in the process.

While his defensive numbers weren’t as good, Bridges was the superior offensive player and it is fair to wonder how much better he would be on a very good defensive team such as the Cavaliers than the sieve that was the Hornets’ defense.
While it seems likely that Charlotte will match any offer sheet that Bridges signs, the Cavaliers could present the Hornets with a chance to fill other holes on their roster in a sign-and-trade deal.
