Toronto Raptors
In 2021-22, the Toronto Raptors’ love affair with playmaking wings was on full display for the world to see.
The Raptors loved that player type so much that they often played three or four at one time. Pascal Siakam, traditionally a four, spent considerable time at the center position. It was a bold vision that fans should expect the Raptors to continue exploring down the road.
If they do, Rui Hachimura would be a perfect addition. He’s a ball-handling wing with plus athleticism. He’d fit this team’s philosophy perfectly?
Would he be redundant? A pessimist might say so. The optimist would argue that the Raptors appear intent on doubling and tripling down on such players. They’re not concerned with traditional positional designations. It wouldn’t be a shock to see Hachimura spend time at the four, three, or even the two in the Great White North.

If the Raptors are ready to welcome another ball-handling wing into the fold, Hachimura could be the perfect candidate.
