Houston Rockets
The other two landing spots find Hachimura with a team that already has a semblance of structure. If he’d like to get in on the ground floor of a rebuild, he’ll be happy to get moved to Space City.
After all, very little is clear about these Rockets. Jalen Green looks likely to achieve stardom. The Rockets hope that whoever they select with the third overall pick in the upcoming draft will do the same. Otherwise, Alperen Sengun and Kevin Porter Jr. may or may not get there.
The rest of this Rockets roster is mostly a collection of second-round picks, projects, and castaways. That leaves ample room for Hachimura to showcase his abilities. The Rockets may be young, in terms of both roster, coaching staff, and management, but if experience is the best teacher, Hachimura would learn well with them.
It’s hard to say where Hachimura will end up in his NBA career. There’s every reason to believe he could finish his career in the nation’s capital as a Wizard.
