We already mentioned the Houston Rockets’ struggles on defense. Last season, they had the second-worst Defensive Rating in the entire NBA.
The only team behind them was the Portland Trail Blazers. Following the loss of Damian Lillard, the Blazers didn’t appear too concerned with wins or losses.
“Tanking” has become a dirty word in NBA circles. We won’t say the Blazers were tanking. We won’t say they weren’t, either.
If the Rockets have been, they won’t be following this deal.
