Phoenix Suns Receive: G/F Ben Simmons
Toronto Raptors Receive: C Deandre Ayton, 2027 First-Round Pick (PHI)
Brooklyn Nets Receive: F Pascal Siakam
Would the Phoenix Suns be interested in Ben Simmons? They’re scarcely linked to them. Should they be?
They do have some of the fundamental building blocks required to maximize him. Chris Paul proved himself a lethal off-ball player alongside James Harden: he could ease back into a secondary ball-handler role alongside Simmons.
We know Devin Booker is elite off-ball. Mikal Bridges is one of the premiere 3-and-D wings in the league. He and Simmons would be a terror on defense, and a perfect complement to each other on offense.
It’s not hard to talk yourself into the fit here. If the Suns could replace Ayton with a stretch big, they might have the perfect Ben Simmons team.

Meanwhile, the Raptors get their center in Ayton, and the Nets get their pure roster upgrade in Siakam. From that perspective, this deal feels like a rare win-win-win.
Unless, of course, the Raptors aren’t ready to part with Siakam. That would be understandable. He’s been a mainstay with this organization for years. Emotions aside, he’s also excellent. With that said, if they did decide to focus their rebuild around Barnes, any of these deals would merit consideration.
