New York Knicks Receive: G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: G Derrick Rose, G/F Evan Fournier, F Obi Toppin, G/F Cam Reddish, 2023 First-Round Pick (NYK), 2023 First-Round Pick (DAL)

Taking a brief look at this trade, some Oklahoma City Thunder fans aren’t going to love the move. Only getting two first-round picks on the surface doesn’t look like enough. However, there are other levels to this trade package.

Oklahoma City would be getting two extra first-round picks next year, while also getting two first-round pick players in Obi Toppin and Cam Reddish. Throwing in Rose and Fournier would give them some trade chips to use or veterans to help develop their young roster.

For the Knicks, making this move is a no-brainer. It’s time for New York to swing for the fences to bring in a star. Being able to get a point guard who is just 23 years old would be a dream come true.
