2. Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons’ mission this offseason is to upgrade and reshape the roster around Cade Cunningham, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. His diverse skill set will allow Detroit’s front office to take things in pretty much any direction they want to go in.
Looking to add more scoring and another dynamic player to the mix, the Detroit Pistons would be an excellent landing spot for Jaden Ivey. He and Cunningham would make for an excellent fit in the backcourt together for years to come.
Unlike Killian Hayes, a first-round pick from 2020, Ivey is more than capable of playing off the ball as a spot-up shooter. He made 35.5 percent of his catch-and-shoot 3-pointers and doesn’t need the ball in his hands to make an impact.
While that percentage could stand to improve a little bit, Ivey is also an adept cutter and moves well without the ball. The Detroit Pistons could involve him in similar actions that lead to him using his athleticism while attacking the rim.

Detroit will desperately need scorers if they do in fact trade Jerami Grant this offseason. Ivey is more than capable of stepping into a lead-scoring role even as a rookie.
