3. San Antonio Spurs

Jaden Ivey is a player who projects as a lead ball-handler. However, he is lacking experience in the role as a point guard, which could mean being eased into it early in his career. Landing with a team that already has a lead ball-handler isn’t the worst, which is why the San Antonio Spurs land on this list.

What San Antonio is lacking is a bonafide, go-to scorer, which Ivey already has the chops to be. He would make for a dynamic backcourt pairing with Dejounte Murray, whose strengths would help compensate for Ivey’s current shortcomings.

The San Antonio Spurs are building a core of long, athletic players that Ivey would fit right into. Along with Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell, the Spurs would have four players that would be able to switch everything on the perimeter and offer a ton of versatility.

Given how successful San Antonio has been over the last two decades in developing players, this would be a great landing spot for Ivey. They will allow him to play to his strengths, while also getting the most out of him when it comes to development.

Having Ivey in the fold, along with 2021 first-round pick Josh Primo, would provide the San Antonio Spurs with options in the backcourt should they be presented with a trade offer for someone such as Murray that is too good to pass up.
