1. Trade The Pick
The best option when it comes to the No. 4 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, given the current state of the Sacramento Kings, is to trade the selection. This is a team desperate to make the postseason and the quickest path to snapping that streak is to acquire more established talent to win some games.
The team made a big move acquiring Domantas Sabonis, surrendering Tyrese Haliburton in the deal. Trading Haliburton is a clear signal this is a team that wants to win now, as a lot of people believe he had All-Star potential.
Sacramento started down the win-now route making that move and they need to now go all-in. Dangling the No. 4 overall pick should be able to net them an All-Star caliber level player. One team they should make a call to is the New York Knicks and ask about the availability of Julius Randle.
His stock in New York has waned a little bit after a down 2021-22 season. But, it was only one season ago that he was an All-Star and All-NBA performer. Zach LaVine was someone Sacramento targeted last time he was a free agent; would the Chicago Bulls be interested in a sign-and-trade deal with the No. 4 pick going back to them?
