The Sacramento Kings were one of the biggest winners of the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery. They finished the regular season with the seventh-worst record in the league, but they had Lady Luck on their side that night.

With Domantas Sabonis representing the team at the lottery, the Kings moved up, landing the fourth pick in the draft. It puts the team in a great spot to upgrade the talent on the roster this offseason, opening up plenty of avenues.

Sacramento is desperate to snap their 16-year playoff drought and the fourth overall pick will go a long way to helping them break that NBA record. They have a chance to add an immediate, impact player with a ton of upside to their roster. Or, they can shop the pick and trade it to the highest bidder.

General manager Monte McNair has to be happy about being in this position, as it is pretty much a no-lose scenario.
