The Washington Wizards’ offseason will hinge on what they can accomplish with Bradley Beal. Beal can opt-out of his contract and seek a long-term deal, which Washington will be more than willing to give him. But, will Beal want to stay with them?
Washington could look to trade the 10th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft for an established player to convince Beal that they can build a winning team. Or, they can make a move up the draft board to select Jaden Jaden Ivey, filling a huge void on their roster.
The Washington Wizards are in desperate need of finding a point guard this offseason. Ivey could eventually fill that hole, as he showcased some excellent playmaking ability with the Boilermakers in addition to his scoring prowess.
Moving up the board shouldn’t be too tall of a task for the Wizards, either. They have the 10th pick at their disposal in addition to some good players as well. Former lottery picks such as Rui Hachimura and Deni Avdija could be made available in addition to veterans Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

A team such as the Sacramento Kings, desperate to snap their 16-year playoff drought, would love to upgrade their roster with some of those players. Consolidating the roster while upgrading their biggest would be a win for the Washington Wizards.
