Miami Heat Receive: F Tobias Harris
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Kyle Lowry, G/F Duncan Robinson
You guessed it: it’s another bad contract swap. It appears the Miami Heat’s best chance of getting off Lowry’s pact is to package it with Robinson’s in exchange for another bad deal.
Inspiring stuff.
Nonetheless, this makes sense for Miami. Harris may be overpaid, but he’s still a valuable NBA contributor. He’d be an upgrade on offense over current starting 4 P.J. Tucker. His defense seems to come and go, but it’s passable.
As for the Philadelphia 76ers, they’re finally bringing the hometown hero into the fold. Lowry was heavily linked to the team before he decided to sign with the Miami Heat. Here, the 76ers would be hoping that his postseason performance has more to do with his hamstring than his age.

The 76ers could start him in the backcourt alongside James Harden, or give Tyrese Maxey the nod and have Lowry run the second unit. In either case, they’ll be hoping to receive the Kyle Lowry they once seemed to covet.
