3. C Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers
The New York Knicks could have a hole to fill at the center position this offseason. Mitchell Robinson is heading into unrestricted free agency this summer. He and the team can work out an extension through the end of June, but they are far apart in negotiations and he is likely to test the market.
If the two sides are as far apart as being reported, there is a good chance that Robinson walks this summer or a sign-and-trade deal is worked out. New York would need a center to replace him and Myles Turner would be a good replacement.
Myles Turner was garnering a lot of attention ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline before injuring his foot, stalling talks. He ended up missing the last 39 games of the season because of his foot, but he could be back on the trade market this offseason.
Indiana will be hard-pressed to get as much value for Myles Turner now as during the regular season, but they should still be able to get a solid return package. The Knicks should get in on the bidding, especially if Robinson doesn’t return.

Jericho Sims and Nerlens Noel would still be on the roster, but there is no way the Knicks can trust Noel to handle starter minutes. Sims played well when thrust into duty last season so he might be able to handle it, but having Myles Turner would bring a new dimension to the offense with his shooting prowess. He is also an elite rim protector, providing the anchor that Tom Thibodeau loves.
