Making the Case: Brooklyn Nets

When looking at Christian Wood, is the type of versatile player that knows how to play his role on a team with other stars. This is something that would benefit the Brooklyn Nets right away.

Wood has taken steps on the offensive end of the floor but is not a ball-dominant player that needs it in his hands to succeed. Wood can rebound on both ends of the floor while knocking down jumpers at a high level with his range extending out beyond the 3-point line. He moves well without the ball and is explosive at the rim. Defensively, he can guard multiple positions because of his size and length.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are the clear options in Brooklyn and two of the best players in the league. This does not mean that they do not need solid options at other positions in order to win championships.

This is something that we saw during the series with the Celtics. If they have an off night, the Nets do not have many players right now they can pick up the slack.

This is not to say that Wood is the missing piece for the Nets in order to bring a championship to Brooklyn. This is just saying that he is an excellent option to add something to a team that wants to win right away. That is explosiveness and versatility in the frontcourt.

If the past is any indication of how the Nets are going to maneuver this offseason, there could be another deal coming out of town. This has been an aggressive franchise and there is no reason that it will stop, especially after a first-round sweep.
