Jaren Jackson Jr.
Depending on how closely you’ve been watching, you may or may not consider Jackson Jr. a star. If you fall into the latter camp, you may want to start watching more closely.
Jackson Jr. is a 6’11, 242-pound combo big who’s shooting 35.1% from downtown for his career. At 15.8 points per game over the same span, he’s not a volume scorer. Still, he’s a great supporting player offensively. He’s a floor-spacing big man capable of getting inside and finishing tough buckets when necessary.
Still, it’s on the other end of the floor that Jackson Jr. stands to benefit Jokic the most. He’s a prototypical modern big on that end of the floor. Spoiler alert: he’s the only player who can even qualify as a center who you’ll see on this list.
That’s because he’s equally adept at playing power forward. Jackson can defend both the perimeter and the post at a high level. That would be a tremendous benefit to Jokic. He’s a solid, but limited defender. He can succeed in drop coverage, but his slow feet cause him difficulty on switches.

No matter what situation Jokic may find himself in, Jackson Jr. would be equipped to cover it. He won’t be the starriest name on the list, but from a fit perspective, he’d be a perfect sidekick for Jokic.
