Los Angeles Lakers Trade Talen Horton-Tucker
Talen Horton-Tucker’s failures in 2021-22 got lost in the shuffle of a generally catastrophic Los Angeles Lakers season. Still, it would be fair to say that he endured a failed season.
The 21-year-old averaged 10.0 points while shooting 26.9% from three-point range. That’s a ghastly figure. It does, however, seem fair to the third-year forward to question why he played so poorly.
There may be some glaringly obvious answers.
If LeBron James and Russell Westbrook failed to co-exist, is it fair to expect a kid to thrive in the same environment? Shooting may not be Horton-Tucker’s strong suit, but in an offense with such otherwise cramped spacing, wasn’t that shortcoming under abnormal scrutiny?

There’s no doubt that THT would benefit from a change of scenery. The Lakers should be able to find him one. That club should look to buy his still-existent potential.
