How This Deal Impacts Brooklyn Nets

This would be the second time according to some people that the Brooklyn Nets would be giving up on a Big 3 without seeing what they are truly capable of. While the circumstances with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden were different, the sentiment would be the same in some people’s eyes.

But, Ben Simmons has yet to make his debut with the team. There are some questions about how he may fit with the team, so if the Nets don’t foresee it working long-term, they could look to flip him for pieces that may.

Myles Turner and Buddy Hield would be excellent additions to the Brooklyn Nets around Durant and Irving. Turner is an elite rim protector, something that the Nets could use. They are lacking size and established players in the middle, which Turner would immediately provide. He is also a strong 3-point shooter, helping spread the court from the center spot, something the Nets don’t currently have.

Hield is one of the best high-volume 3-point shooters in the NBA. He would thrive playing between Durant and Irving with a ton of wide-open jump shots coming his way.
